    About Johnstonebridge Dog Park

    Some of our volunteers who look after the park.

    Our Mission

    At Johnstonebridge Dog Park, we are dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment for dogs to play and socialize. Our goal is to create a dog playground to build confidence and to have fun with our dogs. The park is run by volunteers from the Johnstonebridge Dog Group.

    Our Facilities

    Our dog park has a 6-foot fenced-in play area and waste disposal stations. It is a large open area for plenty of running. Doggy play equipment will be added soon to create a dog playground to meet all our dogs' needs. (Watch this space) 

    Events and Activities

    We regularly host events and activities for dogs and their owners such as our annual Dogs Day Out fun dog show and regular doggy social events. Check our calendar for upcoming events!

     Hi, I'm Rachael, I've lived in the village for 12 years and I'm currently training to be a registered Veterinary Nurse. I have 3 dogs - Roxy, Aida, and Skip - and a young daughter who keep me very busy! We look forward to welcoming you to the field.

     Hi, I'm Helen. I work at the community centre in Johnstonebridge,  Fudge is my four-legged family member, she is a kind and friendly Collie with a love for the ball. If the centre is open feel free to pop in for a tea or coffee.

     I'm Sue and I am married to Kevin. We've been in the village for 7 years.   We have Shih Tzu's  Mia, who's 4, and we have recently adopted Harry 5, and Lini 8 from Glencaple Dog Rescue. Our fur family is now complete. 

    I also run the crafting group that meets at the community centre.

    Hi, I'm Kevin, and I'm married to Sue. I look after the ground maintenance in the park along with other volunteers from the community centre.  Also on the committee for the village.

    Hi I'm Gordon, a local dog trainer who owns Be Positive Dog Training, running classes in Johnstonebridge and Lockerbie where my dog Piper helps me out.  

    Being able to book the park is great way to train in a safe space and meet your dogs needs.

    Booking the Park.

    Booking your slot is as easy as 1,2,3. 


    1- Click on the service you require.

    2- Select the date, and the time slot you require, and press "book".

    3- Add your details to the cart and press confirm.


    Payment is made by bank transfer. Sort code 80-22-60, Account Number- 19500766, Account Name- Johnstonebridge Dog Walkers Group.

    Please add your name & booking number to the payment so we can track it. Confirmation of payment is then sent to you. 


    All dogs must be on lead arriving and leaving the dog park. 

    Please pick up after your dog toilets and place it in the bins supplied on the fence. 

    There are public toilet facilities behind the Community Centre.

    There is no water in the field, but water can be obtained from the public toilets.

    Please arrange for your dog to be back in your car at the end time of your booking so the next dog arriving doesn't meet. The dog park is used by dogs that may not be good with other dogs or people. Please be respectful to all users.


    If canceling, please allow 3 hours before booking time to receive a refund or reschedule.
